April 11, 2010 - "April is Tornado Preparedness month" - The United States has more tornadoes than any other area on the globe. Tornados, the most violent natural hazard, are rotating, funnel shaped clouds formed from thunderstorms. Strong winds are the most destructive aspect, with gusts reaching as high as 300 mph. April is Tornado Preparedness Month
