Being an avid collector of Stephen King’s books I have managed to amass every first edition that was published including several with both a European and American version. I have always considered “The Stand” to be Mr. King’s best work so far. He stylishly managed to merge the unexpected and unusual with a genuine possibility for a climatic episode. It so happens that perchance Stephen was foreseeing in his imagination of this novel for it is highly possible that we are presently in the same state of affairs as the characters portrayed within his book.
