Shipping Rate of Survival Supplies

March 21, 2009 - "Shipping Rates of Survival Supplies" By Joseph Parish. While aimlessly drifting from one survival store to the other on the internet recently I noticed that numerous people had been complaining about the venders cost of shipping survival related items. I too have experienced this dilemma predominantly with e-bay stores. It never stops astounding me how many people can turn out to be extremely ravenous during periods when they should feel most generous. Click here

How Far Can You Go?

March 20, 2009 - "How far can you go?" By Joseph Parish. I have always been very keen on imagining scenarios and events that can perchance curtail a necessary bug out. In fact, I pride myself in perceiving just how far I am able to travel safely when bugging out becomes necessary. By safely I mean a combination of an tolerable distance, mileage that is reasonable and the lack of un-necessary delays. Let me take a moment and go into a little further detail in relation to these requirements. Click here

The nuisance of biting bugs during a bug out

March 19, 2009 - "The nuisance of biting bugs during a bug out" By Joseph Parish. Proper planning must be taken in order to ensure that you and your family are not devoured by biting bugs during a bug out. Most of the current insect repellents on the market today use DEET as the active ingredient. You will find it in just about the entire over the counter product line that you can purchase. Supposedly, the DEET in the repellants today can be safely used on children as young as two months old as well as on adults. Click here

The Value of a Cell Phone for Survivalists

March 18, 2009 - "The value of a cell phone for survivalists" By Joseph Parish. Cell phones can be a functional tool when united with your survivalist efforts. In my family we all have our own cell phones. Several are not formally turned on meaning that there is no time on them or they are not connected to any sort of network, but these phones still perform as a 911 relay. Click here

The Dilemma of the Pay Phone

March 16, 2009 - "The dilemma of the Pay Phone" By Joseph Parish. Years ago I can remember that if you required the use of a telephone you could readily discover a nearby payphone. If your mother or father were like mine and they instructed you to phone home at a precise time then by golly you had better be calling home or else. To comply you had merely to pause at the local street corner of town long enough to make your needed phone call and then you were happily back doing what ever you were previously. You basically had no excuse for not doing so. You could drive down the local main street of town and notice that payphones were easily available on just about every street within the town. The Value of Cats when TSHTF

March 15, 2009 - "The Value of Cats when TSHTF" By Joseph Parish. Traditionally a good number of people often judge cats as a municipal nuisance. This perception likely stems from the outward determination towards their free will and their independent nature, however I would like to communicate a brief article here in support of the felines during extended periods of crisis.
