June 22, 2009 - "The Flu Concern – Panic or not?" By Joseph Parish. Here in America as well as the rest of the world we are now getting very concerned and in some cases beginning to panic over the swine flu which had its beginnings in Mexico. I do not wish to add to this panic however recently the WHO has raised the level of preparedness to that of 6 from its previous 5. What this amounts to is that we are now in a full pandemic. Even at this serious of a level we should not overreact but rather become more prepared then we previously were. Click hereMonday, June 22, 2009

Give them Weapons
June 21, 2009 - "Give them weapons" By Joseph Parish. I sit here and read the daily newspaper and watch the evening news on the television and wonder what we are doing wrong. With the current political unrest which is occurring in Iran perhaps we should revert to the dominant policies that were employed by our government in the 60’s. Click hereSaturday, June 20, 2009

Bring it on
June 19, 2009 - "Bring it on!" By Joseph Parish. Just another reminder of the Seaford Riverfest. Are you knowledgeable enough to survive an emergency situation? When was the last time that Delmarva area had major hurricanes with its damaging winds and torrential flooding? Would you know what to do in the event of a hurricane? How would you prepare for a possible violent storm? How would you keep your family members safe if a flood were to hit our area? Would you be able to help your neighbors in the event of an emergency situation? Click hereMinimal Retreat Requirements
June 19, 2009 - "Minimal Retreat Requirements" By Joseph Parish. When we are in the process of bugging out to our retreat do we really need a spacious home with all the luxuries that we are used to? After all modern inventions tend to use vast sums of energy in order to run properly. Click hereThursday, June 18, 2009
Is there a mole living next door to you?
June 18, 2009 - "Is there a mole living next door to you?" By Joseph Parish. Generally the common man has no idea as to what a mole is. I don’t mean those furry little animals which tend to make its home within the ground and destroy your lawn but rather a mole in the sense of international espionage. To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration
June 17, 2009 - "To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration" by Joseph Parish. I read with interest at first and then I became a bit irritated regarding the decision by the schools administrators to withhold a student’s diploma merely because he “Blew a Kiss to his mother”. My wife and I raised three boys who are now adults and they were very much devoted to their mother. Even to this day the love flows freely between my sons and my wife. Not the proper time for taxing people
June 16, 2009 - "Not the proper time for taxing people" By Joseph Parish. It wasn’t that long ago during the election process that many of our politicians flat out declared that they had no intentions of increasing taxes or of causing additional undo expense on the already overburdened taxpayer. These are the same politicians ranging from the highest seat in our government to those at the city and country level that are having an about face at this time. Click here Thursday, June 11, 2009
Is He in Our Best Interest?
June 11, 2009 - I have recently begun a new bolg entitled "Is He in Our Best Interest?" This blog centeres around one man in partiaular - Obama. We have a man here that has been elected as the leader of a great country. Unfortunately I feel his major purpose is our downfall. He has managed to move our nation so far into debt that we will never in the next decade be able to pull even the slightest out of the hole. Our purpose is to try an enlighten our fellow Americans as to this mans deceit and contempt for my country. If you want to visit this blog go to http://isheinourbestinterest.blogspot.com/

Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire
June 11, 2009 - "Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire" On the eve of the Gulf War, missiles and rockets became a real and present threat. Many countries had to cope with the fact that the war had moved from the front lines to the hinterland because of the launchings of long-range missiles. As a result, the Home Front Command formulated in writing the sequence of actions for correct behavior during conventional missile fire. In view of the current wind of changes in America it may be to our benefit to study some of Israel's procedures. Click hereWednesday, June 10, 2009
A True Story
June 10, 2009 - "A True Story" - Delmarva Survival Training salutes this grounded HERO as well as Col. Rosensteel.Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.
When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.
The complaint:
Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base:
Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 AM, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special?
Any response would be appreciated.
The response:
Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 A.M.., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-1 6s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.
At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresquesas I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..
A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.
The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.
Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr.

Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?
June 9, 2009 - "Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?" By Joseph Parish. Well ladies and gentlemen right from the horses mouth they state that cutting such a large amount of dealerships is their key to survival but you know I look at that as a bunch of malarkey. In my eyes this is nothing more then a ploy to force the American government to anti-up additional funds for the CEO’s to deposit in their retirement funds. Click here Monday, June 8, 2009

June 8, 2009 - "Internet on the go" By Joseph Parish. When I am traveling I always like to be able to keep tabs on the goings on around the nation via the internet. Unfortunately as I travel along the highway and stop at one of the highly advertised WIFI Hotspots I generally find that they are useless. Often times they are so heavily password protected that I don’t even understand why the various states or agencies even bother to offer them. I was discussing this problem with my brother and he provided me with some very useful information on getting on the internet while traveling. Click hereSunday, June 7, 2009
Surviving Terrorism on the home front
June 7, 2009 - "Surviving Terrorism on the Home Front" By Joseph Parish. Whenever an emergency situation seems to strike a particular area it also seems to bring out the worse of the population as well. Within a very short time frame you will hear rumors of looting, rapes and murders taking place between not just strangers but amongst neighbors as well. Every crisis situation America has had reveals the same trademarks of indecency experienced by people when they realize that law enforcement personnel are either too busy to tend to them or they simply no longer exist. The Prisoner Dilemma
June 6, 2009 - "The prisoner dilemma" By Joseph Parish. Imagine if you will that the balloon has finally gone up and people are quickly scurrying around aimlessly with no major plan what so ever. The highways are rapidly being overloaded with potential travelers looking to relocate somewhere for a temporary stay until the dust clears and they feel it is safe to return to their homes. Police are rarely seen and public services are no where to be found. As one witnesses these events unfold we would have to wonder if anything could possibly get worse. I hate to do so but I am the bearer of bad tidings at this point and would like to bring you the worse case scenario. Click hereJune 6, 1944
June 6, 2009 - "June 6, 1944" - On June 6, 1944, the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy to begin the invasion of Europe and to push Germany out of France and the other occupied territories. An unprecedented number of soldiers, sailors, boats, ships, guns, planes and paratroopers left England to face the heavily armed and well fortified Germans. Many brave men lost their lives in this attempt on the morning of June 6, known as D-Day, but the Allied troops kept landing on the Norman beaches for several days following. Delmarva Survival Training web site and its associated blogs salutes these brave men that were involved. Friday, June 5, 2009
Retreat Admittance Rules
June 5, 2009 - "Retreat Admittance Rules" By Joseph Parish. Since you are the person responsible for establishing your retreat it only seems logical that you should establish a few ground rules for any visitors that you may perhaps invite in during an emergency situation. Under normal circumstances a leader is usually chosen by age, experience in survival techniques and the supplies that they have accumulated. Click hereSorry
June 5, 2009 - "Sorry" - I apologize for the lack of posts but while helping my grandson with his homework we managed to install a virus on the computer. Within only a few moments it took over the computer and the result was the need to install a completely new operating system. Once I had the system up and running again I had to catch up on my writing for my paying clients.
