We Support the Iran Protesters

June 26, 2009 - "We Support the Iran Protesters" By Joseph Parish. Currently as Americans we appreciate and know the true value of being able to protest. Notice my friends that I said currently as considering the present regime which is occupying the White House at this time that freedom experienced by all Americans may unexpectedly come to an abrupt halt in the not so distant future. This in that case would place us in a similar situation as the Iranian students. Click here

The Decline and fall of Private Education

June 25, 2009 - "The Decline and fall of Private Education" By Chuck Norris. There's something the U.S. government doesn't want you to know. And it's come out again in the new Heritage Foundation report on education. It conveys that the general public is increasingly dissatisfied with public schools, with a rising number opting for private education. Click here

Survival Kit for My Wife and Children after I Die

June 24, 2009 - "Survival Kit for My Wife and Children after I Die" By Joseph Parish. Not being a man of considerable wealth I still would like to leave my wife and children something of great value when I pass on. I can not leave them a vast and luxurious mansion for I haven’t the necessary funds for which to purchase one. I can’t leave then all new cars or attractive bank accounts for I am not rich enough for that act either. Click here

The Obamacare Horror Story You Won't Hear

June 23, 2009 - "The Obamacare Horror Story You Won't Hear" by Michelle Malkin. The White House, Democrats and MoveOn liberals are spreading health care sob stories to sell a government takeover. But there's one health care policy nightmare you won't hear the Obamas hyping. It's a tale of poor minority patient-dumping in Chicago -- with first lady Michelle Obama's fingerprints all over it. The Flu Concerns - Panic or not?

June 22, 2009 - "The Flu Concern – Panic or not?" By Joseph Parish. Here in America as well as the rest of the world we are now getting very concerned and in some cases beginning to panic over the swine flu which had its beginnings in Mexico. I do not wish to add to this panic however recently the WHO has raised the level of preparedness to that of 6 from its previous 5. What this amounts to is that we are now in a full pandemic. Even at this serious of a level we should not overreact but rather become more prepared then we previously were. Click here

Give them Weapons

June 21, 2009 - "Give them weapons" By Joseph Parish. I sit here and read the daily newspaper and watch the evening news on the television and wonder what we are doing wrong. With the current political unrest which is occurring in Iran perhaps we should revert to the dominant policies that were employed by our government in the 60’s. Click here

Bring it on

June 19, 2009 - "Bring it on!" By Joseph Parish. Just another reminder of the Seaford Riverfest. Are you knowledgeable enough to survive an emergency situation? When was the last time that Delmarva area had major hurricanes with its damaging winds and torrential flooding? Would you know what to do in the event of a hurricane? How would you prepare for a possible violent storm? How would you keep your family members safe if a flood were to hit our area? Would you be able to help your neighbors in the event of an emergency situation? Click here

Minimal Retreat Requirements

June 19, 2009 - "Minimal Retreat Requirements" By Joseph Parish. When we are in the process of bugging out to our retreat do we really need a spacious home with all the luxuries that we are used to? After all modern inventions tend to use vast sums of energy in order to run properly. Click here

Is there a mole living next door to you?

June 18, 2009 - "Is there a mole living next door to you?" By Joseph Parish. Generally the common man has no idea as to what a mole is. I don’t mean those furry little animals which tend to make its home within the ground and destroy your lawn but rather a mole in the sense of international espionage. Click here

To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration

June 17, 2009 - "To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration" by Joseph Parish. I read with interest at first and then I became a bit irritated regarding the decision by the schools administrators to withhold a student’s diploma merely because he “Blew a Kiss to his mother”. My wife and I raised three boys who are now adults and they were very much devoted to their mother. Even to this day the love flows freely between my sons and my wife. Click here

Not the proper time for taxing people

June 16, 2009 - "Not the proper time for taxing people" By Joseph Parish. It wasn’t that long ago during the election process that many of our politicians flat out declared that they had no intentions of increasing taxes or of causing additional undo expense on the already overburdened taxpayer. These are the same politicians ranging from the highest seat in our government to those at the city and country level that are having an about face at this time. Click here

Is He in Our Best Interest?

June 11, 2009 - I have recently begun a new bolg entitled "Is He in Our Best Interest?" This blog centeres around one man in partiaular - Obama. We have a man here that has been elected as the leader of a great country. Unfortunately I feel his major purpose is our downfall. He has managed to move our nation so far into debt that we will never in the next decade be able to pull even the slightest out of the hole. Our purpose is to try an enlighten our fellow Americans as to this mans deceit and contempt for my country.

Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire

June 11, 2009 - "Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire" On the eve of the Gulf War, missiles and rockets became a real and present threat. Many countries had to cope with the fact that the war had moved from the front lines to the hinterland because of the launchings of long-range missiles. As a result, the Home Front Command formulated in writing the sequence of actions for correct behavior during conventional missile fire. In view of the current wind of changes in America it may be to our benefit to study some of Israel's procedures. Click here

A True Story

June 10, 2009 - "A True Story" - Delmarva Survival Training salutes this grounded HERO as well as Col. Rosensteel.

Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.

When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.

The complaint:

Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base:

Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 AM, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special?

Any response would be appreciated.

The response:

Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 A.M.., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-1 6s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.

At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresquesas I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..

A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.

The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.

Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr.

Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?

June 9, 2009 - "Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?" By Joseph Parish. Well ladies and gentlemen right from the horses mouth they state that cutting such a large amount of dealerships is their key to survival but you know I look at that as a bunch of malarkey. In my eyes this is nothing more then a ploy to force the American government to anti-up additional funds for the CEO’s to deposit in their retirement funds. Click here
