Passive Protection in times of crisis
July 12, 2009 - "Passive Protection in times of crisis" By Joseph Parish. For many reasons one can not often protect their assets as they would like to. These reasons may range from the lack of the necessary money to accomplish all that would be needed to various local ordinances which would forbid installing certain protective devices. Even if you can not afford all the luxuries of protection that other survivalists have done there are still ways that you can adequately protect your home and your family in times of crisis. Obama and ACORN GPS Marking Every Front Door in America
July 10, 2009 - "Obama and ACORN GPS Marking Every Front Door in America?" by JB Williams. The same week that Americans learned that they were “domestic terrorists”—at least according to Obama’s new DHS (Department of Homeland Security),—if they own a bible, a pocket Constitution or guns, and still believe in Life, Liberty and Freedom, - they also learned that Obama’s Census Bureau had hired thousands of new temporary employees, equipped each with a handheld GPS computer and sent them out to mark GPS coordinates for every residential front door in America. Mistakes commonly made by Survivalists
July 3, 2009 - "Mistakes commonly made by Survivalists" By Joseph Parish. We are all survivalists and were beginners at one time or other and each of us could perhaps share an interesting anecdote or two concerning our experiences. Unfortunately, the new survivalists often learn the tricks of the trade the hard way and many times even the more experienced of us survivalists may overlook important aspects associated with bugging out or retreat creation. Although the saying of live and learn may apply to most situations I for one do not desire to chance a philosophy such as that to the well being and survival of my family in an emergency situation. Perhaps this short article may serve as a reminder to both the newbie’s as well as for the experienced pros in what not to do. Click hereThursday, July 2, 2009

Cloning Plants
June 30, 2009 - "Cloning Plants" By Joseph Parish. Several months ago my friend Wayne and i were talking about my training in being able to clone plants and we thought that would be a great talent for survivalists to know. Well I finally got around to writing an article on cloning. There may perhaps come a day when cloning a plant would be the only way that you and I can obtain one of our favorite tomato or pepper plants for our garden. As survivalists this can be very important to us in order to ensure our continued existence. In that case I would like to impart his article on plant cloning. Click hereMonday, June 29, 2009

June 29, 2009 - "Your Medical Library" By Joseph Parish. If we have to evacuate our homes and live in a bug out environment for a period of time it is very unlikely that we will have the luxury of our usual medical professionals. June 26, 2009 - "We Support the Iran Protesters" By Joseph Parish. Currently as Americans we appreciate and know the true value of being able to protest. The Flu Concerns - Panic or not?
June 22, 2009 - "The Flu Concern – Panic or not?" By Joseph Parish. Here in America as well as the rest of the world we are now getting very concerned and in some cases beginning to panic over the swine flu which had its beginnings in Mexico. I do not wish to add to this panic however recently the WHO has raised the level of preparedness to that of 6 from its previous 5. What this amounts to is that we are now in a full pandemic. Even at this serious of a level we should not overreact but rather become more prepared then we previously were. Click hereSunday, June 21, 2009

Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire
June 11, 2009 - "Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire" On the eve of the Gulf War, missiles and rockets became a real and present threat. Many countries had to cope with the fact that the war had moved from the front lines to the hinterland because of the launchings of long-range missiles. As a result, the Home Front Command formulated in writing the sequence of actions for correct behavior during conventional missile fire. In view of the current wind of changes in America it may be to our benefit to study some of Israel's procedures. Click hereWednesday, June 10, 2009
A True Story
June 10, 2009 - "A True Story" - Delmarva Survival Training salutes this grounded HERO as well as Col. Rosensteel.Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.
When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.
The complaint:
Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base:
Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 AM, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special?
Any response would be appreciated.
The response:
Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 A.M.., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-1 6s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.
At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresquesas I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..
A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.
The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.

Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?
June 9, 2009 - "Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?" By Joseph Parish. Well ladies and gentlemen right from the horses mouth they state that cutting such a large amount of dealerships is their key to survival but you know I look at that as a bunch of malarkey. Surviving Terrorism on the home front
June 7, 2009 - "Surviving Terrorism on the Home Front" By Joseph Parish. Whenever an emergency situation seems to strike a particular area it also seems to bring out the worse of the population as well. Within a very short time frame you will hear rumors of looting, rapes and murders taking place between not just strangers but amongst neighbors as well. Every crisis situation America has had reveals the same trademarks of indecency experienced by people when they realize that law enforcement personnel are either too busy to tend to them or they simply no longer exist. The highways are rapidly being overloaded with potential travelers looking to relocate somewhere for a temporary stay until the dust clears and they feel it is safe to return to their homes. Horse Power as Transportation
May 28, 2009 - "Horse Power as Transportation" By Joseph Parish. Transportation is important in any survival plans. There may come a time when leaving your immediate area could be the difference between living and dying. Possibly your BOV just will not do the trick. Perhaps the roads are out due to adverse weather or the number of people who have the same idea has impacted your ability to depart on public highways. Martial Arts Are About Survival
May 24, 2009 - "Martial Arts Are About Survival " By Kevin Brett . Here’s a shocker for you … martial arts are about survival. Yep, that’s right. The purpose of martial arts is to have the skill and knowledge to be able to do in the bad guy and still make it home in time to walk the dog. Martial arts are not some trendy type of workout designed to impress the ladies as you tell them about the tournaments or trophies you’ve won. While it certainly is an awesome total-body workout and a great way to get in shape many students really give little thought to its ultimate purpose; survival. Click here
