In the emergency response business it is common knowledge that cities will request assistance from their neighbors when confronted by a local disaster or crisis. If their needs are beyond their immediate capabilities they contact the neighbors and ask for assistance whether it is to borrow equipment or for supplies. Such actions make very good sense however as with any actions relating to emergency management this must also be planned for and coordinated before it is actually needed. Click here
