Is He in Our Best Interest?

June 11, 2009 - I have recently begun a new bolg entitled "Is He in Our Best Interest?" This blog centeres around one man in partiaular - Obama. We have a man here that has been elected as the leader of a great country. Unfortunately I feel his major purpose is our downfall. He has managed to move our nation so far into debt that we will never in the next decade be able to pull even the slightest out of the hole. Our purpose is to try an enlighten our fellow Americans as to this mans deceit and contempt for my country.

Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire

June 11, 2009 - "Correct Behavior During Missile and Rocket Fire" On the eve of the Gulf War, missiles and rockets became a real and present threat. Many countries had to cope with the fact that the war had moved from the front lines to the hinterland because of the launchings of long-range missiles. As a result, the Home Front Command formulated in writing the sequence of actions for correct behavior during conventional missile fire. In view of the current wind of changes in America it may be to our benefit to study some of Israel's procedures. Click here

A True Story

June 10, 2009 - "A True Story" - Delmarva Survival Training salutes this grounded HERO as well as Col. Rosensteel.

Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.

When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.

The complaint:

Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base:

Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 AM, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special?

Any response would be appreciated.

The response:

Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 A.M.., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-1 6s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.

At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresquesas I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..

A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.

The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.

Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr.

Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?

June 9, 2009 - "Would Chrysler and GM like to sell anyone the Brooklyn Bridge?" By Joseph Parish. Well ladies and gentlemen right from the horses mouth they state that cutting such a large amount of dealerships is their key to survival but you know I look at that as a bunch of malarkey. In my eyes this is nothing more then a ploy to force the American government to anti-up additional funds for the CEO’s to deposit in their retirement funds. Click here

Bring it on

June 8, 2009 - "Bring it on!" By Joseph Parish. Are you knowledgeable enough to survive an emergency situation? When was the last time that Delmarva area had major hurricanes with its damaging winds and torrential flooding? Would you know what to do in the event of a hurricane? How would you prepare for a possible violent storm? How would you keep your family members safe if a flood were to hit our area? Would you be able to help your neighbors in the event of an emergency situation? Click here

Internet on the Go

June 8, 2009 - "Internet on the go" By Joseph Parish. When I am traveling I always like to be able to keep tabs on the goings on around the nation via the internet. Unfortunately as I travel along the highway and stop at one of the highly advertised WIFI Hotspots I generally find that they are useless. Often times they are so heavily password protected that I don’t even understand why the various states or agencies even bother to offer them. I was discussing this problem with my brother and he provided me with some very useful information on getting on the internet while traveling. Click here

Surviving Terrorism on the home front

June 7, 2009 - "Surviving Terrorism on the Home Front" By Joseph Parish. Whenever an emergency situation seems to strike a particular area it also seems to bring out the worse of the population as well. Within a very short time frame you will hear rumors of looting, rapes and murders taking place between not just strangers but amongst neighbors as well. Every crisis situation America has had reveals the same trademarks of indecency experienced by people when they realize that law enforcement personnel are either too busy to tend to them or they simply no longer exist.
