Should we be very scared?

March 28, 2009 - "Should we be very scared?" By Joseph Parish. Yellowstone National Park is the home to one of the world’s largest and most active volcanic systems. During he last several million years this area has produced some giant volcanic eruptions. As of this date we have not experienced any eruptions which contain volcanic ash or lava however future eruptions may likely contain both of these dangerous contents. We may be lucky and all we will see are some ongoing hot spring activities, an occasional steam explosion and perhaps even a few moderate to large size earthquakes. Click here

Civil Unrest during crisis situations

March 27, 2009 - "Civil Unrest during crisis situations" By Joseph Parish. All survival conscious people should provide due thought towards the probability of civil unrest during those times of impending disasters and emergency situations. It goes without saying that when the law is running thin the lower level trash will attempt to take over the masses. Click here

Delmarva Survival Training needs Volunteers

March 26, 2009 - "Delmarva Survival Training needs Volunteers" By Joseph Parish. As a resident of the Delmarva Peninsula I completely appreciate that many disasters and emergencies could await me. These situations could very well be in a form of influenza virus which might someway strike our area or it could possibly be a terrorist attack. Perchance there is a catastrophe associated with one of the chemical plants in the northern part of our state. The point is that we can be very vulnerable to emergency situations and as such we should learn to prepare ourselves for such events. Click here

Fiction for Survivalists

March 25, 2009- "Fiction for survivalists" By Joseph Parish. As some of my closest friends know I save all my survival information onto CD’s so that I can use them with a laptop as I am making my way to my survival retreat. Often times when I create a survival CD with my survival information placed on it I will frequently include books which are of a fictional nature and not at all associated with the topic of survival or even survivalists. Over a period of time several people have approached me and inquired as to why I create the CD with fiction on it and I thought that it was time that I explained my reasoning to my readers. Storing Condiments

March 24, 2009 - "Storing Condiments" I would like to share a little hint with my site visitors. If you happen to think that I am a little on the weird side then think about what I am going to say for just a little bit longer. Regardless of what I happen to be doing I am always on the lookout for anything that relates to survival. In this case I am referring to the free condiment packages which are usually provided with fast food. I currently have managed to save a small pail of these valuable items as well as purchasing many of my own. Click here

On the Value of MP3 Players in Bug Out vehicles

March 23, 2009 - I recently wrote an article entitled "On the value of MP3 Players in Bug Out vehicles". This was an article that was placed on the web site and stressed the use of the old time radio shows during bug out situations. As such I have uploaded a CD worth of these old radio shows. These are in MP3 format and in order to play in a normal CD would need to be converted. Click here

Use of Tomahawks for survivalists

March 23, 2009 - "Use of Tomahawks for survivalists" We all are familiar with the type of axe commonly known as a tomahawk. This tool or better referred to as a weapon traditionally resembles a large hatchet but with a straight shaft for its handle. Its name originally was derived from the 17th century translation of a Virginian Algonquian’s word. Tomahawks were usually used as a general purpose tools by the Native Americans as well as the early European Colonials. Click here

A case of preparedness and rough economic times

March 22, 2009 - "A case of preparedness and rough economic times" By Joseph Parish. I recently glanced at an commentary that essentially stated there were over 250 million people that are affected by disaster every year. These figures are unquestionably believable and I have no doubt in my mind that they are accurate. The same article proceeded to say that in order to preserve the safety and readiness of your family you should be amassing what is referred to as Ready food Kits. Click here

Toxic Ziploc Omelet Procedure

March 22, 2009 - "Toxic Ziploc Omelet procedure" By Joseph Parish. I recently came across several people suggesting a procedure that I have listed in this article as dangerous. This article was written by me in February of 2008. I thought in view of what is currently circulating around the net now it would be a good time to repost it. Click here
