Dehydrating Cheese Slices

January 15, 2011 - "Dehydrating Cheese Slices" By Joseph Parish. My family likes to indulge in a treat of cheese slices served with a tasty selection of sliced homemade bread. The problem is when we purchase the cheese in bulk from our local SAM’s Club it is frequently too much for us to finish. As a result of that we waste a good portion of the product. To counteract this problem I decided to dehydrate the remainder for use in other foods at a later date. Click here

Germs abound but no Silver to combat them

January 14, 2011 - "Germs abound but no Silver to combat them" By Joseph Parish. Many people feel that if they take their daily supply of vitamins that they will be germ free however that is not the case. When you prepare your bug out kits you should naturally include some vitamins in it however don’t expect the vitamins to combat any germs you might encounter. Vitamins such as those that you frequently take at home during normal day to day activities are a great addition to maintaining a balanced healthy body but simply can not fight germs. These particular vitamin supplements which you currently use should hold a permanent place in your kits as they will afford some measure of help towards increasing your vigor. Click here

Prepare don’t complain

January 14, 2011 - "Prepare don’t complain" By Joseph Parish. Prior to the arrival of the Katrina disaster the many folks who were transferred to the Superdome were instructed by the authorities to bring at least a three day supply of emergency rations with them. These supplies were to include not only their food and water but also any necessary prescription medications that were necessary. Unfortunately the majority of the potential occupants failed to comply with that simple request whether it was a result of not having the materials necessary at hand or simply being in a hurry to evacuate their home. Each day empty tin cans find their way to the trash bin however with the resent push for recycling and going green, reusing these products make very good sense. Are you worried about Big Brother

January 11, 2011 - "Are you worried about Big Brother?" By Joseph Parish. Usually people for some reason or another do not want “Big Brother” or in our case now “Big sister” to know their business. This is particularly relevant when joining or participating in survivalist groups. People out of an effort to preserve their privacy do not want to do things which may possibly draw the government's attention to them. They often avoid some interesting groups and activities as a result of this mindset. Click here
