Inexcusable delay on TSA body-scanner safety reports

February 10, 2011 - "Inexcusable delay on TSA body-scanner safety reports" By Alison Young. The Transportation Security Administration has told members of Congress that more than 15 million passengers received full-body scans at airports without any malfunctions that put travelers at risk of an excessive radiation dose. Despite the reassurance, however, the TSA has yet to release radiation inspection reports for its X-ray equipment — two months after lawmakers called for them to be made public following USA TODAY's requests to review the reports. The fine art of Caching

February 9, 2011 - "The fine art of Caching" By Joseph Parish. America is feeling the full affects of winter at this time of year and the wind is bitterly cold while the ground is frozen solid. In some portions of the country we find an abundance of snow piled up with weather forecasts continually predicting addition inches in the near future. Suppose that we encounter a severe emergency and find that we must escape our present location and head somewhere else. Are we confident that we can get from one caching location to another with very little difficulty? Click here

Nothing fancy about these preps

February 9, 2011 - "Nothing fancy about these preps" By Joseph Parish. My oldest son is an easy going individual who is a firm believer that nothing is going to happen which would require preparations. He appears to lack the insight to see exactly what the future will hold concerning our personal liberties as well as our survival. He never has been able to get intricately involved in any sort of survival details and his level of preparedness is exceptionally low. Does that mean he is doomed when the balloon goes up and we need to rely upon our resources? Not necessarily, I would like to present the simplest preparedness program in existence. Click here

The key to urban survival

February 7, 2011 - "The key to urban survival" By Joseph Parish. While talking to a newly found homeless friend nicknamed Samuel on the dangerous streets of New Jersey recently I was informed that his utmost asset for surviving lied in his ability to maintain a low profile and operate in a “stealth” mode. Not everyone is compassionate for those who are unemployed or lacking any means of livelihood. These people are frequently look upon as non-human and must continually be vigilant in the event that the wrong person would discover that they were residing in their BOV. It doesn’t matter to some that these conditions were imposed upon the person by our current economic conditions and their only thought is to do something malicious towards the homeless individual. Proof that Urban Survival is Possible

February 7, 2010 - "Proof that Urban Survival is Possible" By Joseph Parish. In view of the developments which are currently taking place in Cairo one has to wonder if urban survival is possible during such turbulent times. Rioting and looting seem to have no restraints as a crisis situation looms overhead. Not only are these dangers present during a possible infrastructure breakdown but they are clearly visible during earthquakes, floods and hurricanes. With our economy reaching an all time low there are greater chances of people becoming homeless and having no recourse but to live on the street. They will have no recourse except to live in various parking lots or on lonely side streets since shelter space is rapidly becoming a rare commodity. Click here
